CAD and Digital Technology
Satre Associates operates a local area network within its office. Each staff member is equipped with a Pentium-based PC, running on an Ethernet network utilizing shared CPU server storage and file networking. File organization, CAD protocols and drafting standards ensure compatibility among all text and diagram documents. All text work is produced with MSWord or PageMaker and all CAD drafting work is produced with AutoCAD v2000. High resolution, full color scanners, printers and plotters provide output options. A removable media daily data backup protocol is utilized to ensure document safety.

Satre Associates also employs ArcView GIS workstations to import, export, manipulate and print or plot geographic, hydrologic, land use and public infrastructure data, capable of being fully interfaced with AutoCAD. Photosimulation, 3-D wire frame and solid modeling graphics and hand rendering capabilities are available. Satre Associates has a DSL connection to the Internet, allowing for extremely quick data transfer of nearly unlimited size.
