With 8 years experience working in the public sector and influencing decision making, Rob brings to Satre Associates his valuable insights into local government operations. He speaks the land use planner's language, and understands regulatory purposes and practices. Rob has authored hundreds of staff reports to local government commissions regarding zone changes, conditional uses, variances, land divisions, planned unit developments, site plan and building design approvals, traffic facility improvements, and vacations of easements and rights-of-way.

As a public planner, Rob worked closely with professionals of varied disciplines coordinating comments, recommendations and conditions of approval suggested by numerous agencies including Public Works, Fire Prevention, Environmental Health, and Building Safety. When the recommendations of these various agencies conflicted, it was up to Rob as the planner to facilitate a resolution.

Rob is always mindful of the broad perspective required to guide a project to a fruitful conclusion. He brings the perspective of someone who came to planning later in life, having worked in retail, in residential construction and in the financial securities industry. With degrees in architecture, engineering and economics, and years of experience with municipal land development review, he brings a unique combination of qualifications to Satre Associates. From the regulatory perspective, he has learned the value of a well prepared application. A little extra effort saves the client time and money in the long run.
